Deborah Hansen - Taberna de Haro, Brookline
Since 1998, Taberna de Haro has been serving Boston’s most authentic Spanish food. People come to this little corner on Beacon Street to indulge in shared tapas (small plates), memorable entrees, regional specialties, and over 300 Spanish wines well-suited to the varied menu. They come for a quick nibble and a glass of sherry before the movies. Some settle in for a 2 hour, 2 bottle anniversary celebration. Others show up for the comfort of steak and French fries served with warmth and perfect Rioja. Chef-owner Deborah Hansen spent 8 years thrilled to be living in Spain, and brings that excitement and experience to her native Boston.
