Fund for City Schools

Please consider making a donation to benefit the Fund for City Schools to help us grow this program!

Co-Founder Lori Deliso and teacher Rachel Cortez feel strongly that they want to make the Kids Cooking Green programs available to children in communities which are not able to afford it.  To this end, they started the Fund for City Schools, the mission of which is to bring the Kids Cooking Green program to city schools at a reduced rate or free of charge. Through the FCS, we have brought our program to Maynard, Waltham, Medford, and Charlestown.

For the past 5 years, we have been teaching at the John F. Kennedy Family Center in Charlestown, MA through an incredible grant from Massachusetts General Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation. Our grant has finished, but we would love to continue to bring the Kids Cooking Green program into their preschool, toddler, afterschool elementary programming, and the Charlestown community. We need your help to continue!

If you would like to contribute to our Fund for City Schools program, please do so on the Kennedy Center’s website. Halfway through the form on the donation page there is a drop-down box  that says “Please designate my donation for the following” and select Kids Cooking Green programming. There are multiple programs at the Kennedy Center, so please remember to use the drop-down feature and select Kids Cooking Green. An example of this is below. This is a tax-deductible donation. 100% of your donated dollars will go towards more Kids Cooking Green classes!
